POST PRODUCTION - COLOUR GRADING

We used colour grading in production to ensure the film was gloomy enough for our thriller. The day we filmed was quite bright, so had to change the colour a fair amount to ensure the film was more ominous.


Below are some tests of our colour grading and the various options we had tested out:




However, we felt the orange tint was too heavy and decided to go with a


CONTRAST AND HIGHLIGHTS




  • We wanted to make the shots more gloomy and dark, to show the ominous mood of the opening.
